SAN ANTONIO, TX – June 17, 2025 — Independent country artist Abe Mac is proud to announce the release of his fifth full-length studio album, Sad Cowboys Club, available everywhere on August 29, 2025.
Rooted in personal stories of loss, resilience, and grit, Sad Cowboys Club reflects a journey both internal and external — from dusty Texas roads to spiritual reckonings. It marks Abe’s return to the spotlight, blending traditional country with cinematic storytelling, soulful melodies, and raw emotion that defines his unique sound.
“This project is for the loners, the feelers, the ones who’ve been knocked down but still show up with heart. That’s the Sad Cowboys Club,” says Abe.
Sad Cowboys Club is more than just a title — it’s a tribute to those navigating the shadows with grace. The album explores themes of heartbreak, heritage, mental health, and redemption, all wrapped in the rich textures of classic country, modern Americana, and Abe’s distinctive borderland flair.
Abe Mac: Artist, Producer, Storyteller
Since his early days in El Paso and his football career at UTEP — where the nickname Abe Mac was born — Abe has become a force in the independent country scene. From touring with Jon Pardi to self-producing his music videos, he’s embraced the hard road of the independent artist with both grit and grace.
Abe has taken on a deeper role as music producer, working alongside emerging artists to co-write and shape their full-length albums. Drawing from his own hard-earned experience navigating the music industry, he helps others not just record, but define their sound and story.
His mission: create art that’s honest, powerful, and inclusive of the often-overlooked voices in country music, especially Hispanic artists working outside the traditional mold.
“We’re not just chasing streams — we’re chasing legacy,” Abe shares. “I’m building a sound and a scene that people like me can see themselves in.”
